The Dixseptieme Hotel, Brussels, Belgium
What could you visit nearby?
Antwerp which we loved.
Degree of Luxury: 5 star
What makes this a favorite of yours?
This is a fabulous boutique hotel. The core is a UNESCO Heritage site. We are in the new “garden” wing with a lovely junior suite (more like a luxe king bed room – huge bathroom). I toured 10 more rooms, junior suites and executive suites. All were magnificent, immaculate, interesting appointments (top flight) and lovely dining facilities. Your clients would love it plus it”s in the old part of town (interesting) and only two blocks from the central train station (not normally good to be so close), but in this place it’s by the Grand Square. Quiet as a tomb too. Brussels is a mixed bag but this is as good as you get, I believe.
What is the best way to enjoy this hotel?
We opened the cluster of Royal Museums at 11 AM, including the Magritte (his clouds seem to loft permanently over the city!); left mid-day for a long high Mass at the Cathedral of Sts. Michael and Gudula; then returned to the museums (loved the Fin de Siecle). We were the last to leave at the 6 PM closing (are we addicted?!) and walked the old city, many shops displaying gorgeous Easter confections.
What does this hotel tell us about you?
I am very interested in art and enjoy getting to know a new city and its museums. I was happy to discover this beautiful hotel and wanted to share it with Constellation.
