The Trauma Center
The Trauma Center provides state-of-the-art therapeutic care to individuals, families, and communities impacted by trauma. These include victims of accidents and assaults, veterans of war, and survivors of child abuse and neglect.
The Trauma Center is considered by senior referring physicians at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Brigham Medical Associates to be the premier organization of its kind in the world.
The Trauma Center specializes in services for children and adolescents impacted by chronic violence, maltreatment, and neglect, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complex PTSD, Developmental Trauma Disorder (DTD), and related conditions.
The Trauma Center’s Clinical research program is uncovering the neurobiological protective markers and mechanisms of change for victims of complex trauma. The Center’s senior faculty have trained over 20,000 mental health providers around the world.
The Center honors client strengths and resources while attending to traumatic memory processing, and reconnection with self and others.
Constellation Community recognizes the work of the Trauma Center, it’s national training and technical assistance network, and the organizations the Trauma Centers refers clients to, such as the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center and Survivors of Incest Anonymous.
